Elisabeth Schneider-Schneiter

Elisabeth Schneider‑Schneiter is a trained lawyer and a highly regarded figure at the intersection of politics, business and public administration. After studying law at the University of Basel, she gained extensive leadership and management experience, including many years as municipal chief executive (CEO) in the canton of Basel‑Landschaft.

Since 2010, she has served as a Member of the Swiss National Council for Basel‑Landschaft and has held key positions in foreign, economic and European policy. As former President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council, she brings in‑depth expertise in international relations and strategic policy matters.

In addition to her political career, Elisabeth Schneider‑Schneiter holds important economic mandates. She is President of the Chamber of Commerce of both Basels, Chair of the Board of Raiffeisen Basel, member of the Board of Directors of Primeo Energie, and board member of economiesuisse.
