Tennis-Workshop Coach the Coaches 2025 in Basel

On the weekend of October 25 and 26, 2025, the third edition of the international workshop “Coach the Coaches” took place at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel – a high-profile side event held in conjunction with the Swiss Indoors Basel (ATP 500). Under this year’s theme, “The Best of Youth Tennis,” renowned coaches, experts, and enthusiasts from around the world gathered to exchange insights on the latest developments and best practices in children’s and youth tennis.

The event impressed with an outstanding lineup of international top coaches:

  • Garry Cahill (Ireland), founder of Prodigy Tennis, shared his experiences from international coaching practice on Sunday.

  • Donato Campagnoli (Italy), representative of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP), provided insights into international high-performance training.

  • Steve Whelan (England), owner of My Tennis Coaching Limited, gave a talk on targeted serve training for the Green Court.

  • Stefan Kermas (Germany), performance coaching expert, spoke on “Game | Set | Lead.”

  • Michael Ebert (Austria), founder of tennis4kids, presented pathways from the Orange Court to world-class performance.

  • Kevin Böttcher (Germany) and Sebastian Metzger (Germany) jointly explored the “Game Based Approach” for players under 12.

  • Ruben Neyens (Netherlands), coach at KNLTB, presented best practices from elite sports on both days.
