Noelia Manta reached the final in Vigo and moves up to World No. 46

Another outstanding week on the international stage for Noelia Manta. At the prestigious ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J200 Vigo Tennis Open 2026, the young Swiss player advanced all the way to the final, once again confirming her status as one of the world's top junior talents.
In the championship match, Noelia was defeated by Latvia's Keisija Berzina 5-7, 4-6. Nevertheless, her run to the final marked another significant milestone in her impressive development.
Throughout the week, Noelia showcased high-quality tennis. Seeded No. 2, she lived up to her ranking with a series of consistent and convincing performances on her way to the final. In the semifinals, she defeated Czech player Sofie Maresova 6-4, 6-4, reaching the tournament's final round without dropping a set.
The final also started promisingly. Noelia built a commanding 5-2 lead in the opening set and appeared well on her way to laying the foundation for the title. Berzina, however, mounted an impressive comeback, winning five consecutive games to turn the set around. The second set developed into another closely contested battle before the Latvian eventually secured the decisive points.
Despite the narrow defeat, there are many positives to take away. Reaching a J200 final is further proof of Noelia's continuous progress on the international stage, and her success is now reflected in the rankings as well. Thanks to the valuable points earned in Vigo, she climbs to World No. 46 in the ITF Junior Rankings, achieving a new career-high ranking.
