Sport Shooting
Sarina grew up in Mauren, Thurgau. At the age of 10, she attended an air rifle course, as her father was a shooter in the local club. In the summer of 2014, she made it into the Thurgau junior squad and just a year later into the Swiss junior squad. Since then, she has enjoyed a string of successes: in 2019, she won the European Team Championship title in the 50m prone event; in 2022, she won bronze at the European Championships in the prone event and finished 6th in the three-position match; at the World Championships in the same year, she won two silver medals and three more with the team. At the 2025 World Shooting Championships in Cairo, Estonia, the 22-year-old from Mauren, Thurgau, won two silver medals. First, in the individual 50m prone rifle event. Then, together with Nina Christen and Franziska Stark, she won another silver medal in the women's team 50m three-position rifle event.
Sarina has lived in Biel since January 2023, but still works as a carpenter on occasional days – the perfect balance to shooting.
