Giulia Steingruber

24. March 1994

Giulia Steingruber was the most successful Swiss artistic gymnast of all time and retired from top-level sport at the age of 27.

The most successful phase of her career came in 2016, when she won bronze on vault at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro the first Olympic medal ever for a Swiss artistic gymnast.

A year later, Steingruber won her first and only World Championship medal after the first long injury break: In 2017 in Montreal, she shone on vault and sensationally secured bronze. Her impressive palmarès is also adorned with 6 European championship titles, 4 of them on vault and one each on floor and in the all-around the latter had also not been achieved by any Swiss woman before her.

Most recently, Giulia triumphed at the home European Championships in Basel - 20 years after she started artistic gymnastics at the age of 7.  Today,

Giulia has a marketing education and is "the head" of our Raeda Sports athlete team. With her experience, she can pass on some experience to the young talents.
